Who We Are

   The Chandler Street Church of Christ is a family of believers who desire to worship and serve God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  We desire to be “Christians only”, with Jesus Christ as the head of our church, His body, without denominational affiliation.  The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is our only guide for our faith. 

   Together we proclaim that Jesus Christ is man’s only hope of salvation.  He is the Son of God and the One with all authority in heaven and on earth.  When people believe in Him, accept His death, burial and resurrection, turn away from their sins, and are immersed in His name, they are saved and added by the Lord to His church found throughout the New Testament. (Matthew 16:16; 28:19, 20; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:36-38, 41-42, 47; 4:12).

   As a body, we strive to be the Lord’s church only, following the examples of the first century church by meeting together each Lord’s Day for singing, praying, partaking of the Lord’s Supper, preaching of the Word and giving for the Lord’s work (Ephesians 5:19; Acts 2:42; 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2).

How We Serve

Worship: Congregational worship is important to us at the Chandler Street Church of Christ.  We seek to honor God, build up one another in love, and proclaim the riches of Christ whenever we assemble for worship.

Bible Classes: We have Bible classes available for all ages, from those in Cradle Roll to adults.  Special classes for women, youth, families and Children’s Bible Hour (during morning worship) are available every Sunday morning and Wednesday night.

Youth:  We have an active youth program that focuses on developing positive Christian character in middle school and high school youth.  Besides regular and special Bible classes, numerous devotionals, youth fellowships, trips and service projects are scheduled to assist our youth in growing up strong in the Lord.  Our Family and Youth Minister works with them year around.

Ladies:  A Ladies Bible Class on Wednesday mornings and evenings promotes growth in knowledge of God’s Word and fellowship.

Tri-C: The Christian Campus Center located on the Kilgore College campus is an outreach of area churches of Christ including Chandler Street.  The Tri-C offers fellowship, Bible study and training for college students at Kilgore College.  College Bible courses are offered for credit through the Tri-C.  A campus minister works with those who visit the Tri-C and others on the campus during the school year.

More: Besides these ministries, we offer assistance to those in need, have special Small Group Bible Studies on the 1^st and 3^rd Sundays of each month; promote visitation, encouragement and fellowship through our Monday Night for the Master program; and encourage fellowship and friendship whenever possible.
